Gila Lyons is an MFA candidate in Literary Nonfiction at Columbia University. She has published essays, short stories, poems, and articles in a number of literary journals, newspapers, and magazines. Gila has helped to edit two books, and has taught creative writing in schools, extra-curricular programs and residential writing retreats. She has also facilitated writing workshops aimed at using writing as a therapeutic tool.
