Alice! Health Promotion Program

Susan Hochman joined the Alice! Health Promotion Program of Health Services at Columbia in 2006. In her current position, Susan oversees the Stressbuster program, stress research and interventions, and sleep initiatives. Prior to joining HSC, Susan coordinated the peer health promotion program at the University of Kansas and also worked at Emory University an instructor for Wellness and Lifestyle Management. Susan is originally from Texas, and attended the University of Kansas. Susan is a Member at Large on the American College Health Association’s Health Promotion Section leadership team and also serves on section’s Membership Development Committee. In her free time Susan enjoys travel, theater and baking.

Susan’s academic interest include health disparities in higher education, the relationship between health and academic performance, and the application of systems and social-ecological theories to the practice of college health promotion.
