Dr. Mary O'Brien joined Health Services at Columbia in 1993. She is an attending Physician and Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. Prior to joining HSC, Mary worked as the Associate Director of the emergency room at St. Luke's Hospital. She attended Vassar College and obtained her M.D. at Harvard Medical School, and completed the necessary coursework for a M.P.H. in Health Administration at Columbia University.

Dr. O’Brien is a liaison between the Athletics Department and Health Services at Columbia, and is a member of the Eating Disorders Team.
