Anand Desai

Anand Desai joined Health Services at Columbia in the fall of 2009. Prior to joining HSC, Anand was a teacher at Horace Mann School in the department of English (2000-2002) and a medical student at Columbia University from 2003-2007. He attended Stanford University. After graduation from medical school, he completed internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia). He is currently a 3rd-year resident in psychiatry at CUMC/NYPH and the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
Anand's professional interests include psychoanalysis and long-term psychotherapy, community psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry.
Anand Desai is licensed to practice medicine in New York State.
