Dr. Claudia Nelson joined Health Services at Columbia in 2003. Prior to joining HSC, Claudia was a staff psychiatrist at the Health Services at Harvard University, and an attending psychiatrist in the Psychiatric Emergency Room at Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge Mass.
Claudia earned her B.A. at Yale and her medical and public health degrees at the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her residency in psychiatry at McLean Hospital.
Her professional interests include cross cultural issues, combining psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, women’s health, and public health.
