ADD/AD/HD Coaching

General Information

AD/HD Coaching

Working with a coach offers persons with AD/HD an opportunity to manage their ADD and utilize techniques that promote a healthy and constructive lifestyle. Rather than using past experiences as the focus of coaching sessions, AD/HD coaches work in the present, focusing on how their client is currently functioning. An individual may decide to utilize a coach for a variety of reasons. Coaches provide their clients with individualized support and tackle issues such as time management, prioritizing, relationships, procrastination, and organization. Coaches can provide a person with AD/HD with support in helping the individual become more focused and productive by building self-awareness and offering tools and techniques to help manage their ADD. Just like any service provider, it is important to locate a coach with whom you feel comfortable. You may use the internet, ask your physician, or contact ODS for names of AD/HD coaches in the New York City area.
