Audiograms

General Information

Audiogram

A hearing test measures hearing threshold, which is the softest sound an individual can hear at a variety of low and high pitches. An audiogram is the graphic representation of the results. Pitch, which is measured in hertz (Hz), is charted across the top while loudness, measured in decibels (dB), is labeled along the side. Normal hearing ranges from 0-20 dB.
