Deans, Faculty, & Staff
Health Services at Columbia provides medical care for Morningside faculty and staff in the event of urgent medical issues of an acute nature that arise while on campus. Faculty and staff may visit Urgent Care of Primary Care Medical Services on the 3rd Floor of John Jay Hall. CAVA (ambulance) is also available for emergency treatment and transport to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital.
Morningside faculty and staff may schedule one consultation at Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) in the event of an urgent and serious mental health issue requiring immediate attention. Consultations are limited to one visit.
Columbia employees anticipating travel may obtain a travel assessment for $35 by making an appointment through Primary Care Medical Services. The Travel Medicine Program also provides vaccinations commonly prescribed for travelers, for example, yellow fever and typhoid. These vaccinations are provided at cost to employees, making the Travel Medicine Program one of the best alternatives available locally for travel medicine.
