Columbia University Health Services

Parents & Families

Health Services at Columbia (HSC) welcomes your student to Columbia! HSC provides integrated and accessible services and programs that support the well-being of the campus community, and the personal and academic development of students. We are comprised of more than 100 individuals: medical providers, nutritionists, disability specialists, health educators, therapists, psychiatrists, peer counselors, student personnel, support staff, and administrative professionals. We are committed to working with your student throughout their time at Columbia.

College is an exciting time, but it may also be challenging for students as they make transitions to university life—a period marked by significant social, personal, and academic transitions for your student. Parents and families play a critical role by preparing students for and supporting them through this transition by talking to them about expectations and considering ways to achieve their goals while at Columbia. HSC offers many programs and services to support your student in these transitions. For more information, please contact us.
