Stephanie Charles

Dr. Stephanie Charles (she/her) joined Columbia Health in 2024 and is a member of the East Clinical Practice Team. Dr. Charles provides acute and chronic primary care, including assessment and diagnosis of presenting problems and management of illness, education concerning prevention and wellness; follow-up of patient problems in continuity structure; and utilization of specialists and outside medical resources when indicated.  

Prior to Columbia Health, Dr. Charles was an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and an Academic Medical Educator at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Charles was also an attending physician on the Family Medicine Inpatient Unit and a preceptor for the combined Family Medicine/Psychiatry Residents enrolled within the combined Family Medicine/Psychiatry Residency program at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Charles is devoted to a holistic and compassionate approach to medicine which focuses on patient education, inclusion, and advocacy. Her passions include medical student education and women's health. 

Outside of work, Dr. Charles enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, learning new languages, and supporting the arts by attending the ballet and Broadway performances.
