Dog Therapy

Dog Therapy brings certified therapy dogs to campus. These animal-assisted interactions provide emotional support for the Columbia community. Dog Therapy events are coordinated by Alice! Health Promotion.

Interested in collaborating on an upcoming Dog Therapy event for your group? Please submit the Dog Therapy Interest Form (link coming soon!) to indicate what dates and times you’re interested in. Dog Therapy events are scheduled in advance. Staff will review all submissions on a first come, first served basis.

Therapy dog teams are part of New York Therapy Animals, a volunteer-based organization that trains dog and owner teams to become a certified therapy dog team. The certification includes education and training to ensure safety, confidence, and enjoyment for both attendees and the dog teams.
