Students eligible for sign-language interpreting or speech-to-text services for classes work with their accessibility coordinator to arrange this accommodation.
Classes
Students must request services for classes at least six weeks prior to the first week of classes. Late requests will be filled as soon as providers can be secured.
Students requesting services for their classes must provide a copy of their schedule to Disability Services at the time the request is made. Students should be aware that at times service providers can be difficult to secure, especially for requests without adequate notice.
Campus events
Affiliates must request speech-to-text services for campus events and activities at least three weeks prior to the event.
Requests for services must be made to Disability Services, not to individual service providers or agencies.
