Bruce H. Young
Dr. Bruce Young (he/him) is completing his postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia Health Counseling and Psychological Services during the 2025-2026 academic year.
He provides intake, psychotherapy, and outreach services.
Bruce is broadly interested in finding collaborative approaches to student empowerment. His training has focused primarily on psychodynamic approaches to intervention and conceptualization, including dynamically-informed use of supportive and skills-based techniques. He recently completed a doctoral internship at the Manhattan Psychiatric Center and a psychoanalytic fellowship at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. He has also worked at Pratt Institute's Counseling Center.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, reading, running, and cooking.
