J.P. Zucchero
J.P. joined Columbia Health in 2026. In this role, J.P. is a Case Manager for a cohort of students with disabilities by providing ongoing support, specialized services, and coordination of accommodations; evaluating medical, psychological, and psycho-educational documentation to identify reasonable disability accommodations; guiding faculty, administrators, and students regarding disability and accommodation issues; and working with instructors and academic departments to implement students' approved academic adjustments and accommodations.
Prior to joining Columbia Health, he served as a secondary school administrator in the Arlington Central School District in Dutchess County, NY, from 2018 to 2026, being awarded tenure in 2022. Prior to that, he also served as Coordinator of Student Support Services for the New Paltz Central School District in New Paltz, NY, from 2016 to 2018. He also served as a College Board-certified instructor in AP courses in the New York City Department of Education from 2008 to 2016.
J.P. enjoys reading books on early colonial U.S. history, modern European, Latin, and Transatlantic history. He also enjoys traveling to places he's never been to before and meeting new people. In addition, he is a previously trained culinary chef, and makes the best Duck à l'Orange on this side of the Atlantic.
