On December 15, 2022, Alana's Foundation announced the winners of the 2022-2023 Alana Yaksich National College/University Flu Vaccination Challenge. Alana's Foundation has hosted these flu challenges annually since 2014 to help increase flu vaccination rates among college/university students nationally and Michigan Catholic school students. 

National Winners

Small* School: Columbia University
Medium School: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Large School: University of Wisconsin - Madison

Columbia Health is proud to support the safety of the Columbia community by annually providing no-cost flu vaccines to students, faculty, and staff on the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses through our annual Flu Fairs. The 2022 walk-in Flu Fairs were hosted from Monday, October 3 through Thursday, October 6 at Lerner Hall and Monday, October 10 at Geffen Hall (Manhattanville), resulting in Columbia Health administering 9,165 total vaccines to the Columbia community.

We thank the Columbia community for partnering with us to fight flu and keep our community healthy.
