Columbia student health leaders attend health promoting campus summit

Leaders from the student health services of Columbia's Morningside/Manhattanville and CUIMC campuses attended the recent U.S. Health Promoting Campuses Network (USHPCN) Summit in Albany, NY from October 14-16, 2024.

Columbia University is an Institutional Member of the USHPCN, a support network that helps campuses define, develop, and create strategies and metrics that help define what it means to be a health promoting campus, recognizing that it will be different for each campus based on their unique circumstances, resources, and needs.

Dr. Alic Czachowski, Senior Executive Director, Alice! Health Promotion and Dr. Michael McNeil, Associate Vice President and Chief of Staff represented Columbia Health. Dr. Jane Bogart, Director at the Center for Student Wellness represented Student Health on Haven.

Conversations centered around the Okanagan Charter, Assessment and Evaluation, Policies, Systems and Structures, and Built Environment, Sustainability, and Planetary Health.
