The University of Limerick in Ireland hosted the 2025 International Health Promoting Campuses (IHPC) Conference. The four-day conference marked the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Okanagan Charter, a framework for post-secondary institutions to promote health and well-being in all aspects of campus life by integrating health into the everyday operations, business practices, and academic mandates.

Representatives from Columbia Health joined approximately 400 health and well-being experts in higher education from around the world for plenary sessions, small group workshops and panels, and research discussions on the cutting-edge of college health. Senior Executive Director of Alice! Health Promotion, Alic Czachowski participated as a panelist in a workshop regarding the use of restorative practices in health and well-being work in higher education.

A key outcome of the conference is The Limerick Framework, which will be used as a toolkit to implement the adoption of the Okanagan charter more broadly, including at Columbia.
