Contraception to Remain Covered Under the Columbia Student Health Insurance Plan
Students enrolled in the Plan or are thinking of enrolling in the Plan for the 2020-2021 academic year will have access to their contraceptive of their choice, including emergency contraception.
The Columbia Student Health Insurance Plan (Columbia Plan) will continue to cover all forms of contraception, in compliance with the Affordable Care Act. Coverage of contraception is not affected by the recent Supreme Court decision upholding a federal regulation that lets employers or universities with religious or moral objections limit women’s access to birth control coverage.

Generic contraceptives and brand-name contraceptives without a generic equivalent or alternative are available at $0 co-pay.
